Committees Leadership

A list of our committees is presented below:

  • Board of Directors
  • Business Development
    Purpose: To assist member firms with Business Development issues and plan educational sessions throughout the year, as well as recommending topics and speakers for the Winter Conference Business Networking Forum and the Fall Membership Meeting.
  • Capital Development Board
    Purpose: To maintain open lines of communication with the agency and to work on projects and issues of mutual concern. Committee meets with the agency staff two (2) times a year in Springfield.
  • City of Chicago Agencies
    Purpose: To maintain open lines of communication with the agency and to work on projects and issues of mutual concern, as well as planning seminars/workshops. The committee meets with various departments of the City of Chicago such as Aviation, Transportation, Water Management, Procurement, Public Buildings Commission, Environment, Emergency Management and Communications as often as possible.

    Emerging Professionals are industry employees who have worked in the field less than 15 years. Networking committee to engage younger employees into benefits of ACEC.

    The IDOT District Eight Committee will strive to assist members and the District Eight leadership with various issues common to all firms doing business with this particular district. We will assist IDOT with strategic initiatives to improve their processes in areas of concern both for member firms as well as the DOT.

    Purpose: To develop a better understanding and application of new and improved technologies, processes, and practices and to ultimately engage Federal, State, County and Local Agencies in a collaborative discussion on how to integrate those deemed most useful and practicable

    Purpose: To assist member firms to develop a better understanding and application of new and improved construction materials, utilization of new technologies to development improved material solutions and to engage Federal, State, County and Local Agencies to encourage use of more effective construction materials to extend life cycle costs.
  • Metropolitan Water Reclamation District
  • Public Engagement
    Purpose: The Public Engagement Committee will identify and promote best practices for outreach, education and stakeholder involvement related to projects that have an impact to the public. A primary goal of the committee will be to ensure agencies and organizations are engaging, educating, and communicating with stakeholders using the latest tactics and platforms for collaboration to deliver major infrastructure and transportation improvements
