SEFLIN 2019 Spring Member Council Meeting

May 24, 2019 10:00am -
May 24, 2019 02:00pm

Event Description

โ€‹Directors and staff of all SEFLIN member libraries and systems are invited to the Spring Membership Council Meeting on Friday, May 24, 2019. The meeting will take place in the Auditorium at the Main Library โ€‹of the Miami-Dade Public Library System in Miami. We will take a deep dive into the poverty levels in our region and the impact on libraries and communities. A representative from the United Way will first lead us through Florida's ALICE Report (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) looking at the data specific to our region. To enrich the discussion, we invited a panel of library directors (academic and public) who will discuss the programs they are providing in their libraries for this segment of our population. The Membership Council Meeting will include approval of 2019/2020 dues.  We look forward to seeing you!
