Both the National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) and the American Academy of Sanitarians (AAS) have established education in environmental health as one of their principle goals. NEHA and AAS believe that structured education at the undergraduate and graduate levels is important to an individual’s successful professional development in the environmental health field and that continuing education is a vital component in a professional’s continued career growth.
The purpose of the NEHA/AAS Scholarship program is to encourage early commitment by students to a career in environmental health and to stimulate past and present graduates to pursue postgraduate studies in environmental health sciences. The program offers financial assistance to individuals with a demonstrable need, and serves to introduce adequately trained professionals into the environmental health workforce. Last year, $5,000 was awarded to four students who demonstrated the highest levels of achievement in their respective environmental health degree programs. Your donation enables NEHA and AAS to continue awarding these scholarships and supports the environmental health profession. Thank you for your donation!
